Jimbaran Beach is one of the most famous Bali Places of Interest known as a fishing village and a famous tourist resort for seafood dinners on Bali island. The land gently slopes away from the beach revealing exclusive celebrity haunts hidden under a canopy of leafy tropical forest. A popular spot for windsurfing and sailing small craft, which are available for rent, Jimbaran's grey sand and calm waters are attracting more people but the beach still has a sleepy feeling. A day at Jimbaran is made even more popular because of the all the wonderful options to eat.

How to Get to Jimbaran Beach

Jimbaran Beach is about 15 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic. You can get a taxi from the official airport stand at the airport when you arrive, or arrange a transfer with your hotel. If you’re coming from another area in Bali, you can take a taxi or a private driver if you want to stop off along the way. You may also want to think about a private driver to spend the day exploring Uluwatu and Bukit Peninsula beaches.

What to Expect at Jimbaran Beach

Jimbaran Beach has beautiful white sand along the coast with clean sea water, making this place an ideal place to spend time in the afternoon or morning for swimming. Because it has a nice beach with white sand and is located in a fish village in Jimbaran, where most of the residents work as fishermen, there are lots of cafes along the beach, while the food menu here is seafood purchased from local fishermen here. Jimbaran Beach Bali is very crowded because the beach is also very clean and cleaning staff are provided to maintain the beauty of this beach so that it supports the beach atmosphere to be beautiful and feel at home for long here.

If you have time during your vacation in Bali, it would be nice if you visit Jimbaran beach with all the beauty of the beach and it is very suitable for couples, when night falls at the restaurant, candles are used as lighting which will make the atmosphere very romantic. When we hear the name Jimbaran beach, the first thing that pops into our minds is seafood, it is true that Jimbaran is the center of local seafood because it is located in the Jimbaran fish village, where most of the fish caught are sold to restaurants on the beach here. Jimbaran Bay Beach has both a lovely beach and the most exotic seafood in Indonesia. Seafood cafes aligning on jimbaran beach next to the intercontinental hotel are indeed exceptional.

Situated within a peaceful fisherman village, these cafes started out as huts which eventually grew into an established industry. Jimbaran Bay Beach was always just a small fishing village, but in the 1980's developers moved in to exploit its glorious beaches. However it is still very much a fishing village and it is always pleasing to see when villagers have directly benefited from tourism. Jimbaran Bay Village, is the home to some of the best known international hotel names which straddle the bay and luxury villas are perched on the hillside with enviable views over the bay. The Jimbaran Bay Beach around the hotels are, as you would expect, stunning and it is a safe area for swimming. Around the village and fish market it is very much a working area for the fisherman tending their boats and nets and sorting their catch for market.

Jimbaran Beach History

The short history of the name Jimbaran, comes from the kingdom of Klungkung, where the king named Ida Dewa Agung has two wives named Sri Ratu Dalem namely Sri Ratu Dalem Putih, where Sri Ratu Dalem does not have a son, while Sri Ratu Dalem Putih has a child named by the king is Dalem White and Dalem Ireng. However, since Dalam Ireng had begun to learn to stand and walk, the king's attitude gradually turned into hatred for his second wife and two sons. And finally expelled his second wife, while carrying his two children and moving - moving finally the mother felt overwhelmed and left one of her children named Dalem Putih in the forest, and was found by the magic hermit and finally taken care of by the magic hermit.

Over time the Dalem Putih grew into an adult, and one day the magic hermit died and the white dalem felt very sad and because there was no one take care, Dalem Putih decided to look for his brother who was brought by his mother, and finally he went to uluwatu and met Dalem Ireng and Dalem Putih did not even know that what they met was his brother, and there were disputes and quarrels because of misunderstandings, and finally they both knew that they were brothers. Furthermore, Dalem Ireng prefers to be a wanderer and Dalem Putih deepens the medical knowledge he got from a powerful hermit in Uluwatu. In the north of Uluwatu, Dalem Putih decided to clear a new forest. Because of the area, the area is called "Jimbaran" from the word "jimbar" which means broad.
