Bali Coffee Plantation is a green garden for cultivating coffee from various types of coffee in the world. You can find various coffee plantations in this garden. The annual production of 600 thousand tons can supply seven percent of the world’s coffee needs. Types of Coffee in Indonesia and Bali

Coffee is not from Indonesia but originates from Africa. In its history, coffee was first brought to Indonesia by a Dutch governor in 1696. Of all that, there are 7 types of local coffee native to Indonesia that are globally successful. They are Arabic Gayo coffee in Sumatra, Kintamani Arabic coffee in Bali, Arabic Toraja coffee in Sulawesi, Ijen Arabic coffee, Liberia Rangsang Meranti coffee in Riau, Flores Bajawa Arabic coffee and Temanggung Robust coffee. From the 7 types of coffee, Arabic Gayo Coffee has a high concentration and strong taste and is followed by Arabic Bali coffee. But it all goes back to you, those who like coffee will certainly have different opinions.

The Making Process of Luwak Coffee

​As for the process of making the famous Luwak coffee in Bali, most of it is still done traditionally. First the coffee ore is harvested from the coffee plant and then the newly harvested coffee ore will be served to the civet animals. Where the civet animals are fed coffee ore, from the civet animal droppings coffee ore is taken and then cleaned and dried by drying in the hot sun. After drying, the ore is stir-fried until cooked in the prepared frying pan, until this process has a distinctive smell of the famous Luwak coffee on the island of Bali. After that, the roasted coffee beans will be ground into a fine powder like coffee powder. And after that the civet coffee powder will be wrapped and ready to be sold to buyers. The resulting Bali Coffee Luwak is said to be like no other in the world (literally). It has a rich, heavy flavor with hints of caramel and/or chocolate.
